South Creake is a delightful village. Just along the road is a large playing field with a new, safe children's playground. There are public tennis courts about 50m away and the local pub, which is well known in the area for its ambience, delicious food and local ales is a short walk away. It is easy to access local walks straight from the cottage, especially good for those who bring their dog.There is cycle hire available in South Creake itself. Just along the road from the cottage (at Compton Hall Farm) is South Creake Fisheries, with fishing all year round from 7am until dusk. About 10 minutes drive from the cottage is Burnham Market.This is a wonderful place to visit with lots of specialist shops and art galleries.There are many other lovely villages to visit such as Holt and Cley, each with its own character.The area really is a shopper's paradise with many specialist shops of all kinds.
There are many lovely countryside walks including the Peddars Way.The area is also renowned for its birdwatching.
The famous shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, to which pilgrims come from all corners of the world, is nearby. Scolt Head Island
About 15 minutes drive away is the beautiful North West Norfolk coast. There are many beautiful, unspoilt, sandy beaches within easy reach, where dogs are welcome. For lovers of water sports there are plenty of opportunities for sailing and other boating activities. There are also various boat trips available including seal-watching.
