Ducktails is a charming traditional brick and flint cottage situated in the picturesque
Many of the original features of the old forge have been retained, which adds to the character of the cottage. Ducktails has a lovely beamed sitting room with an Inglenook fireplace.This contains a woodburning stove, which makes it lovely and cosy in the winter. There are also electric storage heaters both upstairs and downstairs.
Used by us as our own holiday and weekend cottage, Ducktails is furnished to a high standard and very well equipped. Everything in the cottage is new and the reclaimed pine furniture was made specially by a local craftsman.The whole cottage has been redecorated and carpeted throughout.The kitchen has everything needed to prepare both cordon bleu meals and barbecues. It also has a full sized dishwasher.The bathroom, which is downstairs, has a wide bath with a shower above it.It also has a heater for those cold winter days.
The two bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a double bed, large chest of drawers, wardrobe cupboard and bedside table.The twin bedroom has two single beds, a chest of drawers and bedside table.
To the rear of the cottage there is a fully enclosed garden. It has a lawned area as well as a patio. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided. The garden is very sheltered, totally private and a real sun trap.It provides a safe, child friendly environment as well as being secure for your dog.
